Shelburne RCMP Detachment, supported by the Nova Scotia Fire Marshal’s Office and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service, is investigating a fatal house fire that occurred on Woodlawn Dr. in Shelburne.

At approximately 12:06 p.m. on December 18, police and fire responded to a possible fatal fire on Woodlawn Dr. where one person was located deceased inside a home. Preliminary investigation has led police to believe that the fire is not suspicious at this time.

The victim is an 85-year-old-man from Shelburne.

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the Shelburne RCMP Detachment assisted by the Nova Scotia Fire Marshal’s Office and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.
