Percy Paris is a former NDP MLA of the district of Waverley-Fall River-Beaver Bank.

Percy is originally from Windsor, Nova Scotia, and is a former city employee, and also held the positions of Black Student Advisor and Director of the Diversity Initiative at Dalhousie University. He is an active community volunteer and a recipient of the human rights award from the Human Rights Commission of Nova Scotia. 

Some other organizations Percy has been involved with includes the Riverlake Residents’ Association, the Black Business Initiative, the Halifax Black Community Workshop, the Dartmouth East Black Learning Centre, and the Metro Committee for Persons with Disabilities. 

Percy brings the beautiful effects of soul and Motown to 105.9 Seaside FM. His show, “Sweet Sounds of Soul”, begins on April 13th, 2024 and runs every Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00pm. Featuring artists like Sam Cooke, Big Mama Thornton, Joe Tex, Al Green, Aretha Franklin, Ben E. King and much, much more.
