John Langer was born in Brooks, Alberta, before moving to Dartmouth and eventually London, Ontario, before moving back to Dartmouth.

Also in the Carpenters Union, apart of Local 83, John spent a few years after high school working in the formwork area of carpentry (specifically fly-forms, walls and columns), building major towers in Halifax including the Queen’s Marquee, The George Residence, Innovation Towers and much more.

John was part of groups such as The Dream Team and The Voice Newsletter; groups made by and for children in the foster care system. John also loves sports, playing multiple different sports growing up and a follower of mainly the NHL and especially the Olympics. Also an avid sailor, he spent seven summers at the Nova Scotia Sea School; broadening his horizons and developing a true passion for the activity. 

John has spent a bit of time at Seaside FM throughout the years, doing co-op and internships with the late great Wayne Harrett. After completing the two year Radio/Television/Journalism course at NSCC, John joined full-time as the Public Relations Coordinator at 105.9 Seaside FM midway through August of 2023.
