Thom Leonard grew up on good music since he was able to talk. He joined 105.9 Seaside FM in 2001. He wanted to be a part of a great team to bring the ‘easy listening’ format to Halifax. Thom was always involved in music from 10 years old when he learned to play the piano. He also studied pipe organ at Dalhousie University and played in many churches including the Bascila. He was also an organist for a youth choir along with his mother at First Baptist in Halifax. He feels privileged to be a part of 105.9 Seaside FM where he considers the team here and the listening audience a part of his extended family.

When Thom’s not on the air, he enjoys hiking, uncovering local history, exploring seaside coastlines and weather forecasting. His biggest passion is gardening: hands in the dirt and the world can wait.
