Wayne Harrett Multi Media Scholarship
The Wayne Harrett Multi Media Memorial Scholarship is two (2) $3,000 non-renewable scholarship(s) provided to two (2) Nova Scotian students who best exemplify the desire to study in the field that Wayne himself so highly valued.
Applications and documents will be accepted to scholarship@seasidefm.com. The interested party would be enrolling in a secondary institution to study ANY aspect of radio and television broadcasting/operations, journalism or public relations. Completed application forms must be received no later than June 15th, 2024. Successful applicants will be notified by Seaside Broadcasting Organization.

Public Relations/Communications
Public Relation and Communication courses are also accepted for the Wayne Harrett Multi Media Scholarship, such as the Public Relations course at Mount Saint Vincent University, or other institutions.
Documents Needed
- Transcript of academic grades from current institution. Minimum of 75% for eligibility for this scholarship.
- Resume, including extra curicular activities.
- Written references from two (2) sources. (No relatives)
- One-page typed letter of instroduction that includes the following two answers: If you are awarded this scholarship, which educational institution do you plan to attend, and what area have you chosen to study? What interests you most about your selected program? as well as: Describe what you expect to achieve as a result of your post-secondary education and your desired plans.
- Confirmation of acceptance from post-secondary institution.
Journalism
Journalism in radio includes news stories, streeters, gathering quotes, pictures, other documentation and more. Courses include Journalism at Kings College, Radio/Television/Journalism at NSCC and more.
