All Ages Cape Breton Dance & Square Set Prompting/Calling Workshop
February 8 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
The next All Ages Cape Breton Dance & Ceilidh will take place Saturday February 8th, from 3-6pm, at the Fairview Legion (50 Hillcrest St at corner of Main Ave).
$7 admission, $20 for family (3+)
Allie Bennett and Brad Reid will be providing the music for dancing! There is a canteen on-site and there will be a 50/50. If you’d like to perform during the ceilidh portion (sing, dance, play instrument), sign up when you arrive. Lots of free parking and the building is accessible.
They will also be hosting a Cape Breton Square Dance Prompting/Calling Workshop from 2-3pm, before the dance. Colleen Putt will be demonstrating how to call the sets and they would love for you to attend – this is how the tradition will continue! The workshop is free to attend.
