The 5th Annual Wayne Harrett Memorial Candy Drive &
The 7th Annual Trunk 'R' Treat is set for 2025!
We're partnering once again with the Making of Me Society to bring you a family friendly and fantastic event to help bring a wonderful Halloween to our community.
The 7th Annual Trunk-or-Treat (EP/CB/SW) is set: Date: Saturday, October 25th, 2025 Time: Starting at 3:00 PM (event ends once the candy is gone — usually 45 minutes to an hour) Location: IVHS Parking Lot
In the weeks leading up to the event we invite you to donate your candy to 105.9 Seaside FM Studios through the "5th Annual Wayne Harrett Memorial Candy Drive" - a way to support the Trunk 'R' Treat and our community even if you can't make it to the event. We'll store all of this candy and transport it to the Trunk 'R' Treat to make sure children and families are able to have a candy-filled, enjoyable and safe Halloween this year! Donate your candy starting on Monday, October 13th at the Seaside FM Broadcast House, located at 1540 Shore Road, Eastern Passage. We're open Monday to Fridays from 8:30am - 4:30pm.
The Trunk 'R' Treat is brought to you by the Makings of Me Society. Registration is available at these links:
"This event represents the TRUE meaning of COMMUNITY, and it’s quite literally only possible to continue this tradition without the collective effort and support of every
Together, we have shown that the amount of money we have/don't have in our pockets doesn't get to determine whether or not we can experience this incredible dose of joy with our families, friends, and neighbours.
I believe that this year, even more than each year before, our community members & local businesses are going to pull together - like the superstars they are - to ensure that everyone feels welcomed, included, and appreciated.
I’ve said it many times before, and I’ll continue saying it as long as this event carries on - “Trunk-or-Treat has NOTHING to do with the candy, and EVERYTHING to do with the candy.” - Makings of Me SocietyÂ
What is Trunk-or-Treat?
Community members, local businesses, and organizations decorate their vehicles (“Trunkers”) and hand out candy to trick-or-treaters directly from their trunks/tailgates. Costumes are highly recommended but not required!
Important Notes
This event is for residents of Eastern Passage, Cow Bay, and Shearwater.
If you’re outside these areas and would like tips on hosting a Trunk-or-Treat in your community, please reach out: michelle@theMoMsociety.ca
There’s no fee to participate, but candy donations are strongly encouraged.
This event is NOT a replacement for Halloween — just an extra fun community celebration!
